Office Manager and Bookkeeper 

Small business located in Fairfield County seeking a full time Office Manager for its Westport office location. We are a local business that was established in 1999 specializing in retail looking for a professional to support our growing business. The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping experience and leadership abilities and can work independently in a fast paced environment providing support to our Sales and Operations teams. Knowledge of QuickBooks and of retail and remodeling/construction industries are a plus.


Position Description:

Position will be responsible for the company’s accounting and financial record keeping, including recording financial transactions, processing accounts receivables and payables and reconciling bank statements. The Office Manager is detail oriented with excellent leadership, organizational, communication and decision making skills.


Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage the Operations team
  • Design and implement new systems and processes to enhance the core business functions
  • Perform a wide variety of accounting duties including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
  • Track customer payments and solve client related problems as needed
  • Assist with human resources function, including payroll and commission administration, new employee set-up, and weekly time and attendance data input
  • Assist with Project Management, including scheduling and job costing
  • Learn and keep up-to-date with key industry business knowledge

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Significant experience and knowledge of financial accounting software, including integration with customer relationship management and field service management
  • Good knowledge and understanding of general accounting principles and business practices
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Working knowledge of social media and marketing campaigns
